Stations and volunteers recognised at first ever Community Radio Awards
The first ever Community Radio Awards have been held in Birmingham last night, with nearly 50 entries from across the country being recognised. The inaugural awards took place at Birmingham City University, to a sold out crowd of more than 100 guests. Awards chair Martin Steers said: “Everyone seems to have had a fantastic night. “I am pleased to be able to recognise and showcase the work of community radio, and hope every recipient goes back to their station and area and shouts about the exceptional output, commitment and service in the community radio sector, from its volunteers and staff.” Community Development Project of the Year…

The Community Radio Awards new supporter: The Radio Hub
The Community Radio Awards are pleased to announce that The Radio Hub has come on board as a supporter of the 2016 Community Radio Awards. The Radio Hub is a brand new networking project for community radio stations in South and South East and beyond to share best practices. They meet regularly and share best practices, have good industry speakers and promote community radio in the south of the United Kingdom. For 2017 they hope to go on the road due to high interest and meet in other parts of the UK.
